Photo work.
This term describes my work quite accurately.
I take photographs.
And edit the images afterwards.
Once I hold the prints in my hands I do work on them again and compose parts of it into a complete work.
I am fascinated by the look and feel of all my images. Photography in particular – even when it is fine art photography – is often very smooth and clean and does not contain any flaws, stains or blemish.
That is what I regularly break up in my work and start a journey that oscillates between old and new, between reality and dream, between truth and lie.
